just ramblin'

Jason Mraz.  My love for him is long documented.  But really.  I love that man.

We are going caving in a couple of weeks.  I'm slightly terrified.  I have a fear of being underground.  Don't like tunnels. Don't like bridges.  I pull it together and go under and over them clearly, but I've never really done this kind of thing before.  So.  Hopefully we won't have another earthquake in our area the day we go caving and we will all exit unscathed. :)  I may or may not be praying the entire time we are in there.

Catalyst next week!

I feel like a chubby lump of chub.  Ready to go get my butt kicked in Crossfit next week.  Hurray!

I feel like loyalty and integrity are two character traits not around much anymore.

Ashley has promised us a pizza dinner extraordinaire when next we are in Nicaragua.  Well, twist my arm.

Wanted & Desired

A lot's been going on, but mostly I just want to talk about what God's been saying to the inside of me.  There was a point this year where I felt like God was talking a lot to me, but it was for other people.  And I wanted His presence for me.  I had moved away from asking him what I needed to hear and asking him to fill me with his presence.  I went from being, to doing.

So God, in his awesomeness, has said some things to me.

You are mine.
I love you.

I am the husband of your soul.

I will never leave you.

I will never give up on you.

And so I'm falling a little more in love with Jesus this week. Which feels pretty fantastic.  And I feel wanted and desired by him in a deeper way than I have in a long time.

Feelings fade.  Truth remains.  In this case the feelings and the truths are lining up and it's a beautiful thing.

A Mess

I feel like a mess today.

My house.

My car.

My office.

Some relationships.

Also I'm really tired.  Ryan is gone rafting with his friends and I am PMSing big time.

I'm consoling myself with a bowl of Lucky Charms and a chick movie.

Hasta la vista,  Thursday.
